Featured Project
Monclova Township
Making local information easier to find, understand, and use.
The Challenge
Monclova Township needed a website that could make a large amount of municipal information easier for residents to find and understand. With more than 44 pages of content covering township services, departments, meetings, forms, and community information, organization and usability were a major part of the project.
The goal was to create a site that felt clear, approachable, and easy to navigate, while still providing residents with quick access to the information they need.
The Approach
I approached the Monclova Township website with a focus on making a large amount of municipal information feel simple
and accessible. The goal was not just to create a new website, but to create an experience that helps residents find what they
need quickly.
Organized for Residents
With more than 44 pages of municipal content, I structured the information into a clear, easy-to-navigate experience for residents.
User Experience
Navigation and page layouts were designed around how residents find township services, forms, meetings, departments, and community information.
Accessibility
WCAG 2.1 Level AA considerations were incorporated throughout the design and development process to improve usability and accessibility.

My Role
Web Design · UX · WordPress Development · Content Organization · Accessibility
The Takeaway
This project gave me the opportunity to approach web design from a different perspective. Instead of designing primarily around a brand or business goal, I had to think about a community with different ages, abilities, and reasons for visiting the site.
It reinforced the importance of designing around the person using the website, not just the organization behind it.
THE RESULT
A modern municipal website that gives residents a clearer, more accessible way to find the information and resources they need.
Good design isn’t just about how a website looks. It’s about how easily someone can accomplish what they came there to do.
